Solana Monkey Business and Aurory, two more famous initiatives, have brought in $108 million and $82 million, respectively.
Although the news is encouraging and cause for celebration, the blockchain is still feeling the impacts of the 2022 Q2 bad market, as the market capitalization of its native asset $SOL plummeted by more than $14 billion last month. In May, Solana topped Ethereum’s NFT trading volume for the first time in a 24-hour period.
If Solana wants to be the most widely used blockchain, it still has a long way to go, as Ethereum’s Terraforms and Meebits collections each have four to five times the overall trade volume of Solana, while collections like BAYC, CryptoPunks, and dotdotdots each have trade volumes in and around $2 billion.
