Zed Run Launches the Fibonacci Cup Tournament

CryptoKitties has proven that NFTs have the potential to revolutionize gaming. With a $3 billion market cap and over 2,000 daily active users, CryptoKitties is slowly becoming one of the most popular games on mobile devices. However, there are concerns emerging about how long-term CryptoKitty adoption will be sustainable without innovative game design or compelling content.

Zed Run, a virtual horse racing platform, has announced the start of its most recent grand equestrian championship. The Fibonacci Cup will pit the blockchain’s best thoroughbreds against each other for total dominance.

Horses will first participate in their favorite “distance funnel,” which will be divided into three brackets for “sprinters,” “mid-runners,” and “marathoners,” before participating in a series of races spanning all three distances to decide an overall champion.

Qualifying for the event has already begun and will run through November 24 at 12 a.m. UTC. Participants must participate in at least 30 races that reflect their favorite distance funnel. Points are provided depending on race position during the qualifying round. As a result, the horses with the greatest average scores will advance to the finals. The top 1152 racers will advance to the following round, which will be split equally between “tournament A” and “tournament B,” with “A” representing the greatest horses.

The competition’s finals will begin at 9 a.m. on November 24 and go until 11 p.m. on the same day. The field will be reduced down to only 12 racers for each event on this crazy day of racing, and they will battle for the huge prize pool. A total of over $100,000 is up for grabs, with tournament A set aside $73,730 and tournament B set aside $31,600. Furthermore, any horse that finishes first, second, or third in any race will get a percentage of the prize pool, which will grow as the tournament progresses.
