The Sandbox is a virtual world that has been around for more than two decades. It was one of the first locations to use NFTs and now, it’s done with an NPC design contest where developers have the opportunity to create their own interactive characters!
The Sandbox is collaborating with Ledger, the creator of Web3’s most well-known cold wallet, to hold an NPC design competition. There will be a total of three winners, each of which will get a limited-edition Sandbox Ledger Nano X cold wallet and have their NPC inventions included in The Sandbox LedgerVerse.
The goal of the game is to build an NPC of any kind, whether it be a person, animal, extraterrestrial, or any other type of imaginatively conceived living thing. The contest runs from June 27 to July 11 (11:59PM CET).
Contestants must follow both Ledger and The Sandbox on Twitter in order to enter the contest. Entries will be submitted by submitting NPC drawings on the social networking site along with a short introduction, and both accounts must be tagged in the tweet.
Following this, six winners will be selected on July 13; the last three submissions will be decided by a public vote that runs through July 17. As with any competition, there are a number of requirements that participants must meet in order to be qualified to compete. The official announcement page for the competition is available here.
