Ready Player Me to Launch Adidas Originals Ozworld Shoe Avatars

On November 16, the Adidas Originals Ozworld Shoe launch in collaboration with blockchain company DECENT. The shoe is a NFT (non-fungible token) that transforms users into avatars and collects data from their real world movement patterns to power an online game called OzQuest for kids. This new type of collectable could be considered as one of many gaming experiences powered by blockchain technology.

The “adiclub” is a new cryptocurrency that can be used to purchase Adidas Originals Ozworld Shoe Avatars. The currency was created by the company, who has partnered with the platform to launch it.

Adidas has enlisted the help of Ready Player Me to create AI-generated avatars based on Adidas Originals’ Ozworld sneaker range. Fans of the famous, 90’s style futuristic shoe will be able to showcase such streetwear flair across an unprecedented 1,500 metaverse worlds and applications thanks to the cooperation.

The online experience will highlight both unique personalities and physical looks, as it will ask visitors to answer a variety of questions, like choosing their favorite Ozworld footwear silhouette, to expose their distinct tastes, as its AI foundation promises. Once you’ve supplied this information, Ready Player Me’s engine will create a unique digital avatar based on the collection’s dynamic visual codes.

Users may then explore by animating their avatar and digitally shopping for shoes from the collection after creating an Ozworld footwear-inspired persona. Every user may also download their Ozworld avatar to use as stickers and GIFs on their social networking profiles.

The unique partnership’s inventions will be unveiled on April 8th, with members of the adiClub and those who possess an Adidas NFT getting first access to the new material. On April 28th, the first global release of the Adidas x Ready Player Me avatars will be released.

As many of you are aware, this is not Adidas’ first entry into Web3, as the business went on a partnership binge in Q4 of 2021, partnering with The Sandbox, Coinbase, Bored Ape Yacht Club, PUNKS Comic, and crypto influencer Gmoney. In the second quarter of 2022, the business collaborated with Prada on an NFT line.
