Italian Fashion House Prada Takes a Turn for the Non-Fungible

The fashion industry is constantly adapting to new technologies, and the blockchain has been no exception. Fashion houses like Prada are quickly exploring how non-fungible tokens can be implemented in their daily operations, from designing clothing with unique RFID tags to creating digital storefronts where customers can purchase items.

The “adidas prada re-source” is a cryptocurrency that has been created by the Italian fashion house Prada. It will be used to fund projects and provide rewards for people who contribute to the company’s growth. The currency can only be used with products from Prada, which makes it unique.

Prada, the world-famous Italian fashion business, has made its first entrance into the realm of NFTs, pairing its current limited-edition apparel release with its own blockchain-verified digital assets.

Prada will enter the non-fungible on June 2, following in the footsteps of fashion peers Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Nike. However, Prada is embarking on a somewhat different journey by providing assets free of charge to individuals who purchase a tangible item of Prada clothing.

The new non-fungible venture will be included in the company’s limited-edition ‘Timecapsule’ apparel line, adding an extra layer of item verification with a correlating serial number for each pair. This debut appearance will be accompanied by a set of 100 unisex button-down shirts created by Cassius Hirst.

All consumers of the product will get a 3D animated capsule-shaped NFT in black or white, depending on the color of the item received. Prada has also said that it intends to perform a retroactive airdrop for owners of current Timecapsule goods.

Prada is participating in the NFT for the second time, having previously collaborated with sportswear giant Adidas. The fashion firm, on the other hand, will ditch the training wheels and go it alone this time.

 

The “adidas prada nft mint” is a non-fungible token on the Ethereum blockchain that represents an adidas product. It can be bought and sold, but cannot be used to represent any other product.
