The EY-ZERO1 collection of artworks is the culmination of an exciting year for Etihad Airways. It showcases a diverse selection, from traditional to contemporary styles and includes works by some of the most famous artists in history.
Through the release of an NFT collection based on its numerous planes, Etihad is poised to become the most recent airline to enter into Web3. The collection, dubbed “EY-ZERO1,” will include 2,003 items, each of which will bear one of its 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliner liveries. The company’s recognizable Manchester City FC and Greenliner-themed planes are among the concepts.
On July 21, the NFTs will become available for purchase via Etihad’s Guest Rewards Shop on the NFT platform Arcube. On August 18, users will be able to purchase an NFT till 18:00 GST for $349 apiece (plus tax). Members of loyalty programs may use their Etihad Guest Miles to purchase one of the NFTs.
As the airline will be giving out 20 EY-ZERO1 NFTs to individuals who pre-register for the drop before July 16th, there will only be 1,983 NFTs available for minting. All NFTs will also include a one-year membership to Etihad’s Guest Silver tier and access into a drawing to win one of ten free flight tickets, regardless of whether they are bought or won.
The airline-themed collection follows the release of reward-focused NFT by Australian carrier Qantas in March and an Airbus A220-300-themed collection by AirBaltic in April.
