Notre Dame football schedule” is a game that has been created by Animoca. Animoca has announced plans to develop “Scratch Lords”.
Animoca Brands, a Web3 behemoth, has purchased Notre Game, a Prague-based game development firm. The purchase will be followed by the development of ‘Scratch Lords,’ a new play-and-earn NFT game based on the success and game mechanics of its Web2 equivalent ‘Scratch Wars.’
Scratch Lords, which is set to launch in Q3 this year, will essentially add NFT usage and trading to the pre-existing Scratch Wars concept, which sees players interact with a physical-virtual hybrid mobile collectible card game based on’scratchable’ paper cards that are unique, scannable, and can be used both online and offline.
The Scratch Wars app generated $2 million in scratch card sales, with an average paid conversion rate of 12 percent, mostly in the Czech and Slovakia areas.
Although the purchase will have no impact on the Czech game developer’s operations, Notre Game will now be able to harness Animoca Brands’ industry-wide appeal to spread its goods to a wider market and audience. It will also have access to Animoca Brands’ networks, resources, and know-how as a result of this.
Animoca Brands, on the other hand, gains another experienced game development team, which will aid in its open metaverse development ambitions.
“We were struck with the ingenuity and bravery that Notre Game displayed with its physical-virtual hybrid game business,” said Yat Siu, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, in a statement regarding the purchase. The organization has a strong team with strong leadership and the kind of skills and mentality we’re seeking for in our aim to help develop the open metaverse.”
