The number of transactions has increased significantly over the four-year time period. Transactions increased 65% between 2018 and 2019.

Transactions dropped by 15% the next year. Decentraland’s breakthrough year was 2021. The total number of transactions on the platform climbed by 90% to 3,939 transactions. Between 2018 and 2021, the platform experienced a 168 percent growth in transactions.


Estate vs. Parcel Transactions

The average price per plot remained about $1,000 from 2018 and 2020. The average price per plot increased by about 900 percent to around $10,000 in 2021. The average price of real estate in 2018 was over $8,000, compared to around $4,000 in 2019 and 2020.

The average price per square foot climbed by 1,112 percent in 2021. Estates grow in value faster than plots. In today’s market, large estates command a premium price that is often north of $20,000 per piece.


Active Buyers & Active Sellers

The supply and demand of virtual real estate are determined by variables like as active buyers, active sellers, and total wallets. A wallet that is linked to the land marketplace and is actively purchasing or selling a plot or estate is referred to as an active buyer or seller. Active purchasers climbed by 455 percent from 435 to 2,416 between 2018 and 2021. From 313 to 925, active vendors climbed by 196 percent. The entire number of wallets that own Decentraland land is known as the total wallets.
